ob Purpose (State in one sentence the overall objective of the role)
Provide analytical support to Global Teams/BuFs in the production of standardised reports, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), MPR (Monthly Performance Report) and undertake ad-hoc projects in the areas of business analytics, business intelligence and market research.
Major Accountabilities (Describe the 5-7 main results of the role to be achieved )
• To update and produce the monthly Key Performance Indicator Reports for General Medicine Brands – these include IMS sales and volume analysis, SOV and dynamic Rx source of business analysis
• To build new KPI reports and update existing KPI reports
• To maintain and run the Monthly Performance Report for the CPOs/BFs, based on existing IMS data feeds and data warehouse (Business Objects)
• To maintain and enhance existing CPO/BFs Market Forecasts– Total Healthcare Trends across retail and hospital segment
• To pro-actively manage the existing E-library to store primary and secondary data reports and KPIs – working with the Data Management Executive
• To respond to Ad-Hoc requests from the Market Research Analysts and Regional Business Analysts to support daily needs for analysis and slides that can support Brand Reviews
• To work closely with the forecasting manager to gain greater insight in to the future trends for General Medicine Brands
• To work on Return on Investment analyses based on existing IMS and other data based on direction from the Data Management Executive / Head of Market Research/Head of Regional Business Analysis
• To train and mentor Analysts within Business Analytics function; coordinate/drive knowledge and best practice sharing sessions in alignment with Business Analytics management
• Take ownership of systems and processes; constantly strive to improve efficiency of work flow and operating procedures for all deliverables.
Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance for this role will be measured)
• Effectiveness – hours spent to deliver KPIs and MPR in line with agreed “internal contract” (less than 10% deviation)
• Analytical – can develop new KPIs with enhanced thinking on best way to present and run data
• Analytical – can respond to Ad-Hoc requests for data and analysis to support Market Research Analysts needs
• Forecasting Trends – can forecast the total CPO markets based on historical trends and input from desk research / IMS Market Prognosis Report indicating likely growth in market sectors
• Quality – feedback from the SFE Management / Data Management Executive / Head of Market Research on KPIs, MPR and Ad Hoc Analyses received
• Presentation Capability – Is able to produce PowerPoint Slides that clearly communicate analyses to marketing
• Excel capability – can manipulate data from IMS and other suppliers in Microsoft Excel to produce meaningful analyses
• Business Acumen – understands the need to track performance against internal Budget (financial) targets and can produce analyses to track this
