Technical Skills
DW & BI Related BA skills:
•Understand the business users’ requirements for information and communicate them to the rest of the data warehouse team; •Lead and conduct interviewing task;
•Lead interview documentation;
•Conduct data analysis in analyzing existing reports and identifying reporting metrics;
•Lead preparation of data warehouse requirements document
•Prepare data analysis and mapping documents to translate required to ETL developers
•Analyze existing reports;
•Lead the identification and documentation of business metrics; •Determine systems of record with the assistance of appropriate source system experts;
•Help identify potential sources of data for the data warehouse;
•Oversee testing of data acquisition processes and their implementation into production;
•Act as consultant to the ETL and front-end programmers.
•Help data modelers prepare models
•Review models to ascertain that requirements are met.
Generic BA skills:
•Preparation of Response to RFPs, Proposals, concept papers, etc
•Marketing Strategy, new technology/ market opportunity identification, Preparation of approach note and Marketing Collateral
•Lead generation through marketing campaigns and other marketing tools
•Prospective client research, first pitch presentations
•Opportunities for up-selling and cross selling through account planning, newsletters etc.
•Identifying partnership opportunities and managing partnerships.
