Full Description:
- Renders first responder services to all emergencies and incidents, within scope of training. These include but are not limited to medical emergencies, unauthorized entry, facility evacuations, and unlawful acts.
- Prepares written reports of incidents. Uses various computer applications to document safety hazards, report incidents, communicate with supervisors and access company sponsored Intranet reference sites.
- Conducts focused patrols by foot and/or vehicle to protect people, property, and information within assigned area of responsibility. May perform random patrols to increase security awareness and presence in a work area.
- Assures that facilities and restricted areas are properly secured. Implements security and safety measures in accordance with policy, procedures and training.
- Uses various manual and automated equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, data entry devices, and motor vehicles.
- Provides access control, security and customer interface at fixed posts, to include lobby entry points, executive reception areas and event related assignments. Answers phone calls and documents messages and requests.
- Insures all contract guard force posts are properly staffed.
- Assists with the coordination of badging and access control.
- May perform specialized additional duties relating to controlling computer systems, facility access, security awareness, SP2I reviews, use of finger printing device, vapor tracer and X R ay machine and other project related work.
- The primary decision maker in emergency situations and incident response. Must have strong judgment skills and quick decision making abilities. Provides first responder services for life safety emergencies and incidents within the scope of operational assignments and training. Those incident include, but are not limited to, medical emergencies, fire and other life safety building evacuations, responding to disruptive or potentially disruptive situations and unlawful or inappropriate conduct involving employees and others on Fidelity premises and/or Fidelity controlled space.
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 6.5 yrs of experience
- Knowledge of basic physical security techniques and principles, or the ability to acquire such knowledge through training.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or the ability to acquire such knowledge through training.
- First Responder of Equivalent required with in 12 months.
- Competent computer literacy with experience in MS Office products.
- Good analytical skills.
- Able to spend periods of time walking or standing at a fixed post; able to perform first responder rescue activities involved with medical or facility emergency situations.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and readable written incident reports and other documents.
- Ability to meet and deal with the general public.
- Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
